| Description | The paper presents Čapek's play about Robots as a satirical reflection of the so-called machine age. The game R.U.R. is interpreted in the context of the utopia genre as a system reflecting the relationship between man and machine in an industrial society. As part of the analysis of the construction of the characters of the dramathe comedic conception of the man-machine metaphor will be pointed out, which is applied not only in the case of Robots, but is extended to the portrayal of all characters in the drama. |
