| Description | The aim of this thesis is to explore childhood and youth of subjects on the estate of Slavkov u Brna in the second half of the eighteenth century. The main research question is in what ways gender, social status, orphaning and place of origin influenced domestic and military service, education and migration of young people. Moreover, the way enlightened reforms changed lives of young subjects is studied. |
