| Description | The Beletrion web service (www.beletrion.cz) offers readers emotionally powerful and memorable passages from contemporary Czech and Slovak literature as well as from classic literature. The aim of the service is to make prose and poetry accessible to readers (not only from MKP) in a digital form. To do this, the portal uses the possibility of selecting passages according to mood (romance, humour, fear, suspense, mystery), time and type of fiction. If a reader is intrigued by a passage, a single click will take them to the entire work in electronic form - either to a choice of format in the e-knihovna.cz catalogue or straight to the first page of the web book they are reading. The service currently offers 125 prose excerpts and 72 poetry excerpts. The results were preceded by user research with MKP readers carried out in 2021, which focused on the reading and use of e-books by so-called "avid readers". At present, new book extracts are still being added and this process has been completely taken over by MKP. |
