Description Inter-municipal cooperation is an alternative form of cooperation that enables municipalities to jointly achieve goals and interests related to a wide range of selected problems of partner municipalities. It can be seen not only as a tool for solving pressing issues of the existence and functioning of municipalities and cities, but also as a tool for improving the quality of life and services of citizens belonging to the units that are implemented. The aim of this contribution is to point out the current situation in the field of general cooperation in the Slovak Republic, as well as the perspective of interested parties on this form of cooperation. The contribution is an output of the Interreg SK-CZ project (MOSINVI 2020-2021), while its processing was based on the analysis of a questionnaire survey, which was carried out with the help of respondents included in the categories of representatives of municipalities and cities. The answers of these respondents were the basis for the creation of conclusions and recommendations.
