| Description | One of the key personalities among the conservators of the Central Commission in Moravia was undoubtedly August Prokop (1838-1915), an architect and theoretician, museologist, art historian, educator and, last but not least, an important personality for monument conservation, not only through his numerous restoration projects, but also through his lectures and writings. These are the focus of this paper. |
