| Description | The workshop first introduced the students of Japanese Studies (2nd semester) to the historical evolution of writing styles in China and to the Japanese caligraphy as a traditional art. Further, the participants had the opportunity to practicaly try writing Chinese characters and Japanese syllabary using brush and ink. Under the supervision of the lecturers, the focus was on the propper perspective, looking at the characters and following the key features of the source kanji when writing hiragana. The workshop was held in two groups with identical content. |
