Description This paper explores a phonological pattern of two Slavic languages, i.e., Czech and Croatian, in which nominal stems get epenthetic vowels in the genitive plural (Gpl) context. I argue that epenthetic vowels are inserted into consonant-liquid clusters which failed to be licensed by empty V-slots.
