| Description | The paper presents the aim of the dissertation, which is to try to explore the manifestations of intangible cultural heritage from the perspective of performance theory. It will present the reasons and motivations for this research, in particular the possible previous under-reflective approaches to these phenomena. The paper will introduce performance as a concept and attempt to apply it to selected intangible cultural heritage phenomena. Specifically, it is about Puppetry, inscribed on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016 as Slovak and Czech Puppetry. |
