| Description | The contribution deals with the updating potential of biblical phraseologisms occurring in contemporary Russian and Czech media discourse. Using a selected linguistic sample, we observe which types of updating are used in the given units and how this affects the specifics of the functioning of updated biblical phraseological units in the media text. We use the method of textual identification of phraseological updating, phraseological modeling and partly the method of historical-etymological and linguacultural commentary. |
