Citation
Description Jaroslav Borovička, synonymous with modernist collecting, totalitarian persecutions and non-original collector's stamps. Jaroslav Borovička's name is still one of the most frequently mentioned in connection with art collecting and the auction market. And this is not only thanks to the volume of works, mainly restituted ones, that have passed through it over the past three decades, but also to a unique life story connected with an active interest in contemporary Czech and European modern art. How do we perceive the legacy of this tireless, regime-persecuted collector today, one hundred and ten years after his birth and thirty years after the return of the collection?
