Description The use of information technology and quantitative approaches is commonly associated with the natural sciences. However, digital research methods are now increasingly entering the humanities. How can databases and computer analysis of text be applied, for example, to research on medieval heresy? To what extent can inquisitorial records be trusted? And what do medieval executioners have in common with Czechoslovak dissidents? The special guest of art historian Ivan Foletti and archaeologist Jiří Macháček is David Zbíral, holder of a prestigious ERC grant from the Institute of Religious Studies at Masaryk University in Brno.
