| Description | Alfred Fuchs, a Catholic journalist and writer, was one of the most consistent advocates of democracy during the First Czechoslovak Republic. In the 1930s, in the context of political changes in Europe, he consistently devoted his articles to criticism of undemocratic ideologies and regimes, especially Nazism. This paper examines the content analysis of his press articles against the Nazi regime from 1933–1938 and seeks to answer what he considered the dangers of this ideology, what role his religious faith played in his views, which specific events taking place in Germany he focused on, how his criticism evolved during the selected period, and what he saw as a possible way out of that situation. |
