| Description | The paper concerns a set of sources essential for the research of lower Moravian schooling in the late 18th century. These sources are composed of school reports from six Moravian regions from the years 1787-1791. Regional school commissioners filled in these school reports which are now kept in the Moravian Provincial Archive in Brno. Firstly, all the series of school facies from the Bohemian lands are described, and then the attention is focused on the detailed content of the mentioned Moravian facies, comparing the records from each region. The paper mainly reflects the methodology, perspectives, and research limits in relation to this type of historical source. |
