| Description | Lecture will introduce main evolution lines of Latin script after the year 1500, with emphasis on continuity to medieval era. We will show the style changes in script in these times and the beginning of our modern school writing including the fonts used by common text editors. The seminar will introduce you to the main alphabets of the most important scripts for the written sources (mostly czech and german neogothic cursive writing) and you are going to read some authentic historical sources. In the worshop part, you will be able to try out writing the most frequent period writing style - the kurrent. |
