Description | In the VIII. chapter of Stanislavsky's book An Actor's Work, part 1, “Belief and the Sense of Truth”, Tortsov suggested to Kostya Nazvanov a new attitude towards working with “nothing”, with imaginary money. When Kostya felt the truth of physical action with the imaginary object, spontaneously, impromptu actions occurred. The contribution focused on a specific kind of interaction with oneself and an imaginary object. Acting with an imaginary object is not a one-way process, it activates Kostya´s ability to improvise, his imagination and desire to play. Previous acts influence present and future ones. Multiple sensorimotor loops (and autopoietic feedback loops) should be considered when working with an imaginary object. |
