| Description | The chapter gives an overview of (mostly book) sources related to the beginnings of the Prague bishopric in the late 10th and first half of the 11th century and confronts them with analogous sources of the Olomouc diocese under the episcopate of Henry Zdik (1126-1150) in order to determine what is common to the writings of both dioceses at the time of their beginnings. In both dioceses, the texts used in pastoral practice (canonical-legal collections and penitentiaries) show the oldest securely domestic graphic provenance. |
