| Description | Series of five "double-lectures" (4x 45 minutes) realized in winter semester 2023/2024 for University of the Third Age of Palacký University in Olomouc. The lectures offer different perspectives to the interpretation of the sound as such and of music, respectively. The core of the lectures is made by the European classical music, but also other epochs, styles and genres, as well as other artistic forms (literature, pictorial art) are mentioned. The aim of the programme is to show in many different ways, how to understand music, and to orient them in its historical changes and interconnections. The thematic focuses and names of the lectures are: 1. In the beginning was the sound; 2. Simply the classic; 3. ...languages of human beings and of angels; 4. The arms of Eternity; 5. Music that dances and sings. |
