Description | Recent research in philology, history, and art history has underlined how import dynamics participate in the construction of one or many Venetian identities, recognisable within the city itself but also abroad. The aim of our workshop is precisely to understand What methodological and interdisciplinary possibilities arise when communicating research results from various disciplinary fields? In preparing this introduction, we have 1. attempted to identify the main criteria governing contacts and exchanges in and outside Venice - Distinguishing between import and export of course; - But also between Voluntary and Involuntary Actions. 3. and we have attempted to connect some results of recent studies dealing with contact-reception-appropriation-export trajectories. |
