Description | An analysis of František Skopalík's activities as a deputy at the Moravian Provincial Diet, in contrast to the current state of research, shows that it is very difficult to draw a dividing line between his practical activities in favour of rural modernisation and his work as a deputy. The efforts of Skopalík the peasant reformer and Skopalík the deputy corresponded with each other, his activities as a deputy were a certain continuation of his practical activities in favour of rural modernisation and their completion and support by legislative means. This in no way precluded the fact that, despite the growing agrarian movement, Skopalík remained loyal to the conservative National Party and its notable policy. |
