| Description | Journalist and writer Alfred Fuchs, as a correspondent for the Czechoslovak state press, reflected on the importance of the role of the journalist in the propaganda of a democratic state. He was especially aware of its necessity in the 1930s, with the growing danger of dictatorial ideologies. This paper aims to analyse Fuchs' theoretical reflection on the notion of defending democracy through the press and seeks to interpret his own practice. |
