| Description | The text introduces to the readers the Bulgarian studies at the Masaryk University in Brno, Czechia, presenting the new concept of studying Bulgarian linguistics disciplines, especially in a comparative context with other South Slavic languages and Czech. The study examines the transition from the study of linguistic disciplines within the framework of classical philological education in the past to the newer concept of academic education in the so-called areal studies. It also presents the textbooks, excersise books and teaching materials made by the professors at Masaryk University, which meet the modern requirements for accessibility and digitization and were created specifically according to the needs of the students studying Bulgarian language at this university. Most of these materials are available online in the Masaryk University information system itself or in the Munispace digital library. |
