| Description | The workshop was held as the 4th seminar of the visiting academic series "Baltic Agora" (previously seminars were held in Riga, Tartu and Krakow). It was dedicated to cultural changes in post-socialist countries and the processes of transformation of Baltic/European identity. Special attention was paid to translations from/into Baltic languages as generators of intercultural synergy. Besides purely translatological aspects, issues of cultural (un)translatability, the reception of Baltic cultures in the world, the role of Baltic academic centres and the influence of world culture on Baltic cultures and literatures were also discussed. |
