Description The effort of the publication Human to Human is to bring the reader closer to the professional and friendly intersection of the doctor Karel Koch (1890–1981) and the architect Dušan Jurkovič (1868–1947), which resulted in the joint realization of the Koch sanatorium with a unique garden in Bratislava. The title of the book Human to Human refers to the central motif of Koch's thinking: the highest mission of man is humanity, which is to be fulfilled in unconditionally human behavior and service to another man. The terms are reminiscent of Goethe's words, which Karel Koch repeatedly refers to in his texts: "I myself consider it possible that humanity will finally win, I only fear that then the world will be a gigantic infirmary in which human will be a human nurse for human!" In other words, before mankind realizes the meaning of this supreme value, the damage done may be immeasurable. At this moment humanity will be the only cure. Both Karel Koch and Dušan Jurkovič were witnesses and active actors during both world wars and the post-war period. We are also witnessing this at present.
