Description André Chastel stated: Architecture dominates space and determines time. We rarely talk about historical architecture as the dwelling of man; we usually notice its monumentality. We notice the exceptional and important buildings. Gigantic and spectacular buildings that have an impact on many generations. In this context, we can speak first of all of royal residences and palaces of the nobility, which are not only the results of an architectural idea but also an expression of political ambition. The present paper attempts to demonstrate this by using the example of the Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte and the Louvre in Paris, which at the same time became the object of different types of 'media architecture'.
