| Description | The concept of "aesthetic intelligence" as a specific disposition draws on contemporary research into "visual intelligence" (D.D. Hoffman), cognitive metaphors (D. Hoffstadter), and the impact of art-training in the developement of phantasy and creativity in children and in adults. The disposition is not innate or given, in must be acquired by a long-term repetition and training in participation on culture and its cognitive and evaluative patterns and processes. Conference is partly dedicated to broad discussion of the themes and topics brought by doctoral students. |
