| Description | The topic of the paper was the role of the psychologist in primary, secondary and tertiary prevention in the context of somatic and mental health. Space was devoted to reflecting on the experience of external and internal influences that shape health-related behaviour and influence its development. Results of current research in the field were discussed, as well as issues of self-care in the context of professional role, perceived quality of life and healthy lifestyle. Attention was also paid to key motivational factors and selected personality characteristics and mechanisms that play a significant role in maintaining physical and mental health. |
