Description The article introduces "Information Services Design" as an emerging field of study, intertwining elements from design science, service design, and information science. Founded in 2022 at Masaryk University, the Information Services Design program is formulated around contemporary challenges faced by designers and emphasizes a balance between critical thinking and practical applicability. The article evaluates the perceived importance and self-efficacy of students concerning set learning objectives. Initial findings indicate variations in students' perceptions of the significance of different learning goals and their self-confidence in achieving them. The insights offer a foundation for refining the curriculum and long-term tracking of students’ self-efficacy.
