Description | The emerging European mobility as a service landscape is subject to complex set of regulatory frameworks and interaction of multiple layers of public as well as private stakeholders. The versatility of the particular local mobility systems is high, however, common patterns can be established and categorized, in particular with regard to the development of the role of the mobility as a service in such system. These then are suitable for reflection and discussion with regard to strategic support or European collaboration and regulatory coordination. In our contribution, we focus on the role of public entities at European as well as national level, with the aim to identify, how to best utilize their particular link to the mobility as a service landscape in support of suitable development and promotion of this innovative approach to solve the future challenges of municipal mobility. |
