| Description | Along with research into art history, research into terminology and art historical concepts was very closely embedded in the Brno art historical tradition. Václav Richter believed that only through the clearly formulated meaning of individual terms can one gain an understanding of the artistic creation of the past and present. Although such research was established in the Brno seminary, it unfortunately remained unfinished. It is therefore one of the goals of our architectural workshops to at least partially follow up such a research project with modern means. At the same time, we will clarify the terminology of architectural drawing (while also taking into account other drawing productions) in connection with three time-defined topics: classical media of the early modern age; architectural project and Rome's Accademia di San Luca; functions and forms of architectural drawing. |
