| Description | The methodology of the analysis of musical performance with the support of The Memo Vision Software was developed as part of the project TL05000527 “Memories of Sound: The Evolution of the Interpretative Tradition Based on the Works of Antonín Dvořák and Bedřich Smetana” (The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic). The methodology aims to point out the possibilities of empirical analysis of music performance, which are supported by "The MemoVision" software. The software is intended as a supporting tool for the analysis of various musical interpretations, and the methodology presents possibilities and inspirations related to theoretical and functional questions regarding the use of this tool. Despite the close connection of the methodology to the associated software, it is conceived more broadly than just a manual for the software. The content of the methodology introduces research work with software, in the context of current trends in musical interpretation analysis. In the individual chapters, the basic principles of music-interpretation analysis are first outlined, and then the basic ideas of the technical methods of processing music recordings are described. In the last chapter, the presented options are demonstrated on short case studies. |
