Description | Demonetization of disinformation is a part of the EU strategy to mitigate the dissemination of online disinformation. The contribution addresses demonetization as a regulatory tool, discusses its strengths and weak points and analyses how European legislation addresses demonetization, especially in the Code of Practice on Disinformation and Digital Services Act and subsequently summarises how demonetization of disinformation has been implemented by the signatories of the Strengthened Code of Practice on Disinformation. |
