Description The poster features an e-learning module developed to complement a two-year program called Lídr školy. Lídr školy is an accredited program that prepares future Czech school principals for the challenges of educational leadership. It was developed in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, an NGO Učitel naživo, and the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic. The latter was responsible for the design of the e-learning module. The total amout of time allocated to Lídr školy is 250 hours. The e-learning consists of 36 hours of interactive online content, which is well integrated with face-to-face meetings and placements in schools. Like the rest of the program, the e-learning is characterized by a problem-based, scenario-based and constructivist approach. It is designed to immerse participants in authentic scenarios and challenges encountered in school leadership roles. The e-learning module covers school law, labor law, and school finance. It helps participants to acquire knowledge as well as skills and competences for practice. Despite the fact that is developed in an open source software Moodle, the participants found it modern, immersive and practical. This may be due to the integration of activities designed in Articulate Storyline. However, the whole design process was an important part of what now feels immersive and practical. What made a real difference was working with highly qualified experts paired with active school leaders. Thanks to them it was possible to make topics such as school law or labor law experiential and problem-based. Facilitated in a secure environment of Moodle, the e-learning fosters collaborative learning, encouraging participants to share insights and experiences with peers. By such combining asynchronous but challenging content with synchronous online discussions, we believe it helps future school leaders gain practical leadership experience and position them to drive positive change in Czech schools.
