| Description | The review article evaluates the new monograph written by Jan A. Kozák, a Czech religious studies scholar, who until recently published almost exclusively articles and books focused on the narrow theme of Old Norse Pagan religiosity. His monograph "Monomyth: A synthetic treatise on the theory of myth" differs significantly from previous works, both in its thematic focus on myth as a theoretical problem and in the significant expansion of the ethnographic field in which the author operates. The article evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of this work. |
