Description In my contribution, I focused on several aspects of Ctesias’ renowned work Persica. First, despite his poor reputation, Ctesias’ narrative became very influential for certain periods of history. Second, which tropes were associated with the royal courts. And third, how the author proceeded to describe the history of the Asian realms with his unique style.
