Description Elżbieta Grosseová is one of the few sculptors who have long expressed themselves in the Czech environment through ceramic materials. Her work combines the technical perfection of sculptural work and a constructive sense of form with questions of memory, fate and the fragility of human existence in relation to more general questions of natural laws. The objects from the Marathon series, created in the last two years, emerged from the artist's idea of a world whose energy is linked to the unstoppable movement of matter. The minimalist installation of simple conical objects, which can evoke the movement of human feet by their folding, is a metaphorical expression of the temporality of human life and the elusiveness of the present moment, constantly flitting between the past and the future. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue with texts by Martina Mrázová, Iwona Siewierská and Elżbieta Grosseová.
