Description The study of clitics typically examines how clitic placement is influenced by the prosodic and/or syntactic size of the clitic’s host. This paper focuses on Czech, where pronominal clitics appear in the second position after the first syntactic constituent, regardless of its size. Since pronominal clitics are classified as enclitics, they are expected to integrate phonologically with their syntactic host. We test this phonological integration of pronominal clitics experimentally, aiming to explore the extent to which enclisis is influenced by the syntactic nature of the clitic’s host.
