| Description | Trails, roads, paths can be viewed in many ways - technically, economically, historically. Our view is philosophical. However, philosophy has a fundamental problem with its language: what are the claims of philosophy actually about? How to verify their truth value? The text mentions Wittgenstein's notorious skeptical imperative that philosophy should remain silent, even when the truth in philosophical claims is mysteriously revealed. Heidegger builds his late philosophy on that pointing; for him, true philosophy is the highest artistic achievements. This is also the direction in which our considerations here are taken: to say something philosophical on the subject of journeys is to turn to art. |
