Description The paper focused on process of marginalization of academic art history in post-war Czechoslovakia, esp. after 1969. The issue discussed was the way how the commjusnist régime interestingly aimed to use art history in the service of the culture propaganda. And also i tis instructive (maybe also similiar to actual circumstances) how art history was one of the firts victims/sacrifices of the pragmatic régime since 1970s.
