Citation
Description Glioblastoma multiforme is the most aggressive type of brain tumor. The median survival time with GBM is 15 months and has not changed over the past 30 years. The reason is the high resistance of glioblastoma cells to currently used therapeutic procedures. It is, therefore, necessary to develop new therapeutic approaches for studying GBM biology. In particular, it is essential to develop preclinical in vitro models that better reflect the relationship between human brain tissue and the tumor. Such in vitro models can be used to study mechanisms of therapeutic resistance and screening of new drugs targeting GBM.
