Description | The study examines a newly discovered group of five fragments with square notation on book bindings from the Abbey library of Klosterneuburg, which originate from a single codex and presumably only arrived at the abbey in the 16th century. Initial analyses suggest an origin in the Benedictine tradition. Liturgical comparisons revealed a rare correspondence with the Roman cursus in Italy, indicating that the fragments could originate from Southern Europe, probably Italy. |
