| Description | The chapter describes the development of drama section at the National Theatre in Brno from the Velvet Revolution to 2019. It is divided into subchapters according to the work of individual artistic directors, who were František Derfler, Zbyněk Srba, Miloslav Mejzlík, Jakub Korčák, Zdeněk Plachý, Petr Halberstadt, Petr Štědroň, Martin Františák and Milan Šotek. The text outlines the basic tendencies of dramaturgy, directing approaches, follows the changes of the acting ensemble in individual periods, introduces key productions, changes in performance spaces (especially the opening of the reconstructed Reduta) and does not neglect the context of theatrical Brno as such. |
