| Description | The exhibition Time for Shadows is based on the eponymous workshop – i.e. the first part of the Salon of Czech Scenography that was held in September 2024 in Olomouc in collaboration with the Centre for Performativity Research of the Department of Theatre and Film Studies at Palacký University. During the three-day workshop, together with ten selected participants, students of scenography, fine arts or theory and history of theatre, we reflected on the texts of the British cultural philosopher and critic Mark Fisher regarding the possibilities to refine the shadow today. The shadow subsequently became the main "actor" and source of inspiration for several exhibition realisations that the workshop participants prepared specifically for the Praktik gallery and for the inner parts of the Olomouc Greenhouses. The exhibition was on view from 21 October 2024 to 16 November 2024. The opening also included the launch of the new scenographic magazine of the ČOSDAT platform, its first issue entitled Time for Shadows, which, in addition to texts by the participants of the workshop, also presents a mini-catalogue of the exhibition. |
