| Description | The aim of this paper is to present the topic of my dissertation, which is entitled The Power of Courage: Contemporary Polish drama directly reflecting the current social situation. The dissertation is structured in two main parts. The first part provides a historical insight into the development of Polish drama, using sociological methodology for analysis, comparison and subsequent synthesis. The second part focuses on the analysis of selected dramatic texts - namely Martyna Wawrzyniak's Schwarzcharakterki (2021), Piotr Froń's Biezpieczne miejsce (2022) and Przemysław Pilarski's Pośród gospodarstw (2022). The aim of the dissertation is to bring new knowledge about the tendencies and current trends of contemporary Polish drama to the Czech audience. |
