Description This book considers the activity of rereading from two angles: in the first chapter, the authors take a critical look at the work of the cognitive sciences on rereading: the main criticism is the failure to take into account the contributions of the sciences of text; in the second chapter, the lexemes “reread” and “rereading” are considered from a linguistic point of view, more specifically textual and semantic. The aim is to measure how these lexemes appear in context and why speakers use them. The aim of this study is to identify the issues involved in rereading, the strategies deployed by readers in rereading, and their uses.
