Description Angiotensinogen as an early phase protein can contribute to pathogenesis of psoriasis. The study evaluates two gene polymorphisms in the gene for angiotensinogen (M235T a A(-6)G ATG) in the group of 136 psoriatic patients and in 141 healthy subjects of comparable age and sex distribution. Both polymorphisms are in tight linkage disequilibrium in patients as well as in control subjects. Double genotype frequency significantly differs between psoriatic and healthy subjects (P=0.001).
