Description 5HT1 receptor is largely involved in ethiology od psychiatric and other disorders. The study was performed to answer whether selected 5HT1 agonists (CGS 12066B,RU 24969, sumatriptan) might interfere with hepatic drug metabolizing enzymes in the isolated perfused rat liver. The results showed that CGS 12066B and RU-24969 significantly inhibited the activity of cytochrome P450 2D1; the NAT activity was slightly decreased by CGS 12066B and sumatriptan.
