Description | The fourth-order differential equation in the self-adjoint form y''''-(qy')'+rf(y)=0 is studied where r>=0 and f(x)x>0 for x is different from zero.All nonoscillatory solutions are divided into the classes according to oscillatory/nonoscillatory characters of y,y',y'', y''',and sufficient conditions are given for these classes to be empty. |
