Description | In both lichen species measured under 22 and 5 degC, increased osmotic stress led to a decrease in Fv/Fm ratio of chlorophyll fluorescence and also in quantum yield of photosystem two. Time courses of background chlorophyll fluorescence revealed two phases of phases of osmotic stress: (1)mild - induced by water potential of about-2.3 MPa, and (b)heavy - induced by water potential of about -17.0 Mpa. |
