Description Groundwater in Bangladesh is enriched in arsenic. Arsenic is released by reductive dissolution of ferric oxides and hydroxides. Concentrations of dissolved iron are influenced by precipitation of siderite and vivianite. Arsenic release mechanisms are discussed.
