Description | The aim of the work was to investigate the possibilities of determination of iodine in biological and food samples with different amount of iodine (Chlorella enriched by iodine, mineral waters, kitchen salt and porcine milk) by ICP-OES. The two most sensitive emission lines of iodine in vacuum ultraviolet region were chosen (178.280 nm and 182.980 nm) and the limit of detection as 3s was calculated (2 mg.l-1 and 30 mg.l-1, respectively). It is well known that spectral line 178.280 nm is strongly interfered by phosphorus and therefore, Chlorella and porcine milk samples were analyzed with use of 182.980 nm line while the kitchen salts and mineral waters were analyzed with use of 178.280 nm. |
